Our Story

SMRT1 Health began with a vision of transforming trusted vending technology using advanced touchscreen interfaces and cloud-based software to create a data driven distribution and connection point for care. As our work evolved, we recognized the profound impact this technology could have in public health settings — creating 24/7 access points that not only distribute much-needed resources, but educate, connect, and support communities struggling with healthcare-access challenges.

At SMRT1, we believe that technology should serve human needs with both empathy and usefulness.  Our Community Action Response & Education (CARE) System, represents our commitment to creating a technology solution that connects, educates, and supports communities facing a wide variety of healthcare challenges — transforming traditional vending machines into comprehensive community healthcare-dispensing platforms.

The Birth of the SMRT1 CARE System

Through our work with diverse communities across North America, the SMRT1 CARE System framework emerged as a human-centered approach to innovative technology implementation. By focusing on the four integrated components — Community Connection, Action Response, Responsive Technology and Educational Content — The SMRT1 team created a community healthcare-dispensing platform that addresses the needs of communities, while respecting their unique characteristics and complex challenges.

    PRESIDENT

    With 40+ years of business and product development, Warren is uniquely positioned to chart the company direction.  Previous tenures include President of NucleusLabs Information Technologies (2000 – 2024), plus several successful business ventures and exits.  He has a strong desire to implement new and innovative technologies to solve challenges in the delivery of community-based healthcare and to expand their reach in serving diverse and marginalized populations, with limited access to equitable healthcare and related services.

    EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

    Amy leads SMRT1 Health's groundbreaking work with tribal nations and Native American populations. She brings extensive experience and expertise in culturally appropriate healthcare implementations and community engagement.  Amy has established proven frameworks for sovereign nations to deploy the CARE System and create pathway-models for technology that can strengthen, rather than replace cultural healing systems.

    As a founder of SMRT1 Health Solutions and a pioneer in smart vending technology, Brad brings his innovation expertise to vending automation.  He recognized the potential of interactive touchscreen interfaces in creating more human-centered technology experiences.  His commitment to innovation with a purpose, drives SMRT1's continuous evolution to better serve community-based healthcare.

    With 40+ years of finance, business structuring and corporate governance (Public & Private), Tom has laid the groundwork for SMRT1 Health Solutions to become a significant industry player in its chosen markets.  His expertise and responsibilities include day-to-day financial management, liaising with accountants, auditors, managing regulatory compliance and looking for opportunities for cost savings.

    Steve brings over two decades of experience co-founding and managing successful innovative companies.
